God Planned Ahead
Ephesians 2:10 (TPT)
“We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny He has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!”
Everything about your life is not an accident because God planned ahead. It doesn’t matter how humans got you here, God planned for you to be here. Each one of us has a purpose on Earth, even if we may not understand it.
You know, God directs everything and that takes the pressure of us. Sometimes, we may think that God’s got it wrong, or we’ve got it wrong. Like Joseph in the bible, when he had all these dreams that he was going to do incredible things in his life. But he ends up in prison! We may think, ‘oh man, Joseph, you got those prophetic words wrong’. Did he misinterpret the words from God? God actually had a bigger plan for him because when he was in prison, it positioned him to be in front of Pharaoh as a dream-interpreter. Joseph was faithful with his gift, that even while he was in prison, he was able to minister to people in authority through this gift God gave him.
One time, I was having lunch with a prophet. He looked at me and he said, ‘you know Jemima, those years in 1999 to 2001, you think those years were a waste but they were not. God wants you to know they were not a waste.’ During those years, I had experienced so much heartache and pain. I always thought those years were a waste! But when I began to look at my life, and see what God had actually done, he had positioned me during that time in a university, leading teams and other campuses, learning how to work with remote campuses and how to bring all the campuses together through technology.
Years later, when Kingdomcity began to step into technology and all the workings of an online church, what I had learned, I was able to bring to the table. At the 2020 Conference, when it was the height of the pandemic, we managed to do a full service, half our team in Australia, and half of them in Kuala Lumpur. It hops from one country to another, all live. It was amazing! It was not a waste – all those years, learning about technology. God positioned me to learn and to bring it to His kingdom. This was a reminder to me – God planned ahead.
