Way Maker, Miracle Worker - Jennifer Anthoa

This testimony is dedicated to all those who stood by me during this difficult season of my life. It is also dedicated to those who have been waiting on God for a long time but have yet to receive a breakthrough.

Jeremiah 29:10 (NKJV) For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place.

I joined Kingdomcity in July 2012. At that time, I was going through the finalisation of my divorce. I found solace in church and started my journey of healing and restoration. There was one more thing that needed to be settled to get back my inheritance that was part of the agreed terms in the court order. There was one big problem though; my ex-husband was still living in that house! Just the thought of getting him evicted overwhelmed me. I tried a couple of times to go through the process but somehow it never materialised. Someone wise advised me ‘Jenn, cut off this last thing attached to your ex-husband and see how high you will soar’ and I took that advise to heart.

The Court Order states that once my children turn 18 years old, the father’s shares of the house will be transferred to them. Just before my youngest son turned 18, God Himself sent a lawyer who is a partner of one of the largest law firms in Malaysia to cross paths with me. Not only that, he is a man of integrity and worked through weekends when required. He agreed to take on my case and we sent the first legal letter to get my ex-husband and claim back all outstanding money form the past six years even though I doubted…

To my surprise, my ex-husband opted to buy over the house which was an even better option for me as it would then save me the hassle of doing a valuation and finding a buyer but he quoted a much lower price compared to the valuation. During the negotiation period, I felt God impress upon my heart to ask a specific price for the property. So, I stood firm on that price and did not budge even though there were many correspondences back and forth negotiating on the price. There were days when I did not receive any response from the other party and wondered if they were serious in settling the matter in the first place. Some even asked me to settle for the price they were offering lest I lose even that. But God had showed me a specific price and I was determined to stick to that no matter what. A few weeks ago, I received a letter from his solicitors agreeing to my asking price and to pay back all outstanding arrears for the past six years!

God is indeed a way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper and a light in the darkness.

Would you trust God too and not give up because at the appointed time, He will surely come through for you.
