A Futuristic Prophetic Declaration

I still remember the exact moment. I was driving home after church and had been told that someone very close to me was wanting to take their life... again. 

I had been praying for 10 years, believing that breakthrough would come, praying that the prison walls in their mind would be smashed. I had prayed so much I didn’t know what to pray anymore.

There’s a point you come to, where you feel hopeless. You know God can hear you and He cares, but the situation isn’t changing and you don’t know what to say or do anymore. But you're the only one bringing hope to the situation. The way I live, the choices I make are a testimony to the faithfulness of God. But still, no change.

I was in my car, I was crying a lot. As I drove God reminded me of this scripture, Romans 4:17

“He is the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.”

I felt so strongly at that moment to change the way I was praying. From a rescuing prayer to a triumphant prophetic declaration. I began to speak life over this person. A future, a hope, a calling and destiny. It wasn’t hypothetical, it was a reality. It was loud.

“GOD THEY HAVE A JOB, PARTNER, CHILDREN, HOUSE, CALLING, GIFTS, TALENTS, DESTINY, FUTURE WITH YOU FILLING ALL THEIR NEEDS AND DESIRES.

I THANK YOU GOD FOR THEIR WEDDING DAY AND THE JOY, FREEDOM, FULFILMENT THAT YOU HAVE BROUGHT!”

I hadn’t ever prayed like it was the future already - but I know the prophetic impact it made.

Proverbs 18:21, “The tongue has the power of life and death.”

When this world is speaking death through the effects of drugs, image, comparison, alcohol, hopelessness, we have to rise up and speak life to break the curse and do spiritual warfare on behalf of those loved ones and ourselves.

John 10:10, “I have come so you can have life and life abundantly.”

If you have come to a place in your prayer life where you feel stale and are not seeing breakthroughs, shift to a futuristic prophetic declaration. Say it like it has happened. Thank God like you just attended that wedding or saw that child being born.

I am yet to see the complete freedom I know is promised over this person. Dr. Mike Maiden prophesied over me last conference that I had a ‘Dam filled with prophetic prayer and the walls of the Dam were about to be smashed down!’

I claim it, I see it, it’s freedom time!
